Valerie Shilgalis, a Napa Valley native from Calistoga, was destined for her career, having grown up in one of the world’s most prominent wine regions. With 30 years in the wine and spirits industry, she embarked on her journey after earning a BS in Business Administration/Marketing from CSU Sacramento. Her experience ranges from Fortune 500 companies to innovative start-ups.
In 2013, Valerie moved from Northern California to Colorado and now serves as the Rocky
Mountain Region Manager for Copper Cane Wines & Spirits. In this role, she oversees wine
sales and operations across Colorado, Wyoming, North Dakota, and South Dakota. She
collaborates closely with her distributors to develop and implement sales programs and
educational initiatives with retailers and restauranteurs.
Outside the world of wine sales, Valerie enjoys hot yoga as well as exploring the great outdoors,
skiing, hiking, and camping with her husband and their two children. She currently resides in
Longmont, Boulder County, Colorado.
